Education and Training

Dr. Nosrat received his DDS and MS in Endodontics from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He practiced as an Endodontist in Tehran for four years and earned board certification in Endodontics before moving to the United States. He then completed his second Endodontic residency training and Master’s in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Dr. Nosrat is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Awards and Recognition

Dr. Nosrat was recognized by the Tony Michael Ponti Memorial Award from the University of Maryland for excellence in clinical Endodontics. After graduation, Dr. Nosrat continued his involvement in research in the field of Endodontics. He is now collaborating with several research groups nationally and internationally. Thus far, Dr. Nosrat has published forty-one articles in the field of vital pulp therapy in immature teeth, pulp regeneration, and root canal anatomy in high-impact journals like the Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Endodontics, and International Endodontic Journal. Dr. Nosrat’s research profile and metrics can be found here. In 2018, Dr. Nosrat was selected by the Editor of the Journal of Endodontics (JOE) to serve at the Scientific Advisory Board of the JOE.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. Nosrat is board-certified by the American Board of Endodontics. He is a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, Australian Endodontic Journal, and Dental Traumatology. He is a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and a full-time practitioner at Centreville Endodontics. Dr. Nosrat is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and American Dental Association and has served on the Regenerative Endodontics Committee of the AAE. Dr. Nosrat is currently serving on the Research and Scientific Affairs Committee of the AAE.

Dr. Prashant Verma and Dr. Ali Nosrat were co-residents at the University of Maryland. In addition to their clinical partnership, they maintain an active research collaboration and publish articles together in high-impact journals.
