Important Information Regarding COVID-19
In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our referring doctors and our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. The purpose of this message is to clarify a few important things about the effect of this pandemic on our Practice:
- Yes, we are open. We are following all guidelines from our local health departments and from the various dental associations. They are all recommending that elective dental procedures be postponed, but urgent dental care services should continue. One of the key goals for the US healthcare system is that hospital resources need to be conserved for those who most need hospital level-of-care, specifically individuals requiring hospitalization for treatment of COVID-19. By keeping our Practice open and treating patients with urgent dental pain and infection, we are keeping them out of hospital ERs and are making an important contribution to keep the overall healthcare system functioning.
- We care about your safety, as we always have. Our Practice has always been above and beyond all safety standards recommended by OSHA and CDC. We are constantly updating the levels of sterilization and sanitization to mitigate transmission of ALL communicable diseases, not just COVID-19. Our Practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing enhanced personal protective equipment, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.
- All root canal treatment procedures in our Practice are performed under rubber dam isolation, which greatly minimizes aerosols and therefore limits the transmission of disease.
- Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our Practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. Please reschedule your appointment if you suspect you have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days. علاوه بر این, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, لطفا با دفتر ما, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
